On Thursday, March 12 we met at Frank Ruyter's shop for our regular weekly meeting.   A big Thank-You to Frank for hosting a very enjoyable evening. The coffee was good, the sweets were delicious and the company was superb.

In Frank's younger years he owned a service station. Some of the paraphernalia from that era now occupy nicks and corners of his quaint yet very functional shop.   From his antique power saws, to the deer's foot coat hangers, Frank had interesting answers to our endless questions.

As a group we spent some time planning for our up coming Spring Roundup. The People's Choice awards were displayed and agreed upon.  Please check them out in the accompanying picture.   Also please keep an eye on the schedule for upcoming meetings and events.   You won't want to miss a great evening like we had on Frank's Shop Tour.

On Thursday, August 6  a group of twenty members and friends cruised to McCleese Lake to visit Ken Beck and tour his shop. There was something there for everyone's taste including Ken's well equipped wood shop on the second floor. A ride up his home made elevator was an experience not to be missed. Ken's meticulous manner and wealth of knowledge is very apparent to anyone who looks at his work or at his workplace.

Next we ventured down the road a few clicks to Lee Crowley's place where he had a steaming pot of chili waiting for us. Lee has a beautiful setting right on the lake which was a perfect place to kick back and enjoy a warm summers evening with friends.

We also got a peak at some of Lee's wheels. They are enough to get any car buff's juices flowing. We would all like to thank Ken and Lee for opening there places to us and making memories of a great evening.

On Sunday, August 9 57 participants took part in our Annual Show at Canadian Tire, making it a great success. Cars came from 100 Mile House, 150 Mile House, Quesnel and even as far away as Victoria.

We're looking forward to next year's event already.
